The Fire Sale of America.....

Doesn't anyone else find it disappointing that so many of our distinctly American companies are being sold to foreign buyers? It's bad enough that we don't manufacture much of anything here anymore. Much of what we do make is for our consumer market yet the profits from those enterprises do not stay in America, they go to their foreign owners. Now we can add to a list that already includes Milwaukee Power Tool (now owned by the Chinese). Several formerly U.S. owned furniture manufacturers whose Chinese buyers closed the U.S. factories and kept just the names of those businesses to try to maintain some credibility in our market. Countless other small corporations who have been absorbed by foreign conglomerates.....and now perhaps the most iconic and distinctly American brand out there.....Budwieser.

InBev, the new owner of Bud, is a Belgian company run primarily by Brazilians.....Okay, the Belgians can make a good beer. Brazil? I have my doubts.....At any rate, other than stock dividends all the profit from Anheuser Busch will now be flowing like a smooth cold Bud into Belgian bank accounts.....

To InBev I have just one thing to say.....

A toast to celebrate your purchase of my formerly favorite beverage.....This MGD is for you!

Unless you buy Miller Brewing too.....

Good day!
